Foxconn began receiving key components for the iPhone 17 at its facilities in India in June, according to The Economic Times. These components include displays, covers, mechanical housings, and integrated rear camera modules, accounting for about 10% of the company's total monthly imports from China. The remaining components are used for producing other models like the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16.
Experts believe this signals the start of trial production. Mass production is planned for August ahead of the September launch. Rumors suggest Apple plans to simultaneously manufacture in both China and India for the first time, marking a significant step in the company's strategy.
