Starting this summer, EV charging stations from pilot programs in major cities are transitioning to paid tariffs, ending multi-year free charging initiatives. Setting market-rate tariffs aims to develop charging infrastructure, with plans to install up to 500 fast charging stations per year. This transition improves the project's investment appeal and raises service quality.
The paid model has already been tested: more than 120 stations in major cities offer paid services, used over 45,000 times. This demonstrates high demand for the service. EV owners will continue to enjoy incentives: many jurisdictions offer tax exemptions and free city parking for electric vehicles.
