Apple May Release iPhone 17e Next Year

Apple is considering releasing the iPhone 17e next year, but a final decision has not yet been made. The company will need several months to evaluate the potential benefits and risks of an annual refresh of the "e" series.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the iPhone 16e is positioned as a more affordable alternative to the iPhone SE and a simplified version of the iPhone 16. Rumors suggest the iPhone 17e may also see the light of day. Gurman supports the idea of an annual release for this type of model.

Amid internal restructuring at Apple, the functions of the artificial intelligence and machine learning divisions are being redistributed across multiple departments within the company.
