Apple is actively exploring the integration of artificial intelligence into the Safari browser. This decision is linked to a noticeable decline in search queries through Safari over the past couple of years. Senior Vice President of Services, Eddy Cue, attributes this to the growing popularity of AI services such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude.
The company has already initiated talks with the developers of Perplexity and is considering integrating similar AI-powered search into its browser. While AI solutions have not yet reached the functionality of traditional search engines, Apple aims to remain a leader in adapting to technological changes.
In addition, Apple is collaborating with OpenAI to embed ChatGPT into Siri. The company is also exploring options to connect other advanced AI services, underscoring its commitment to innovation and improving the user experience.
